Happy October! :)
Though you wouldn't believe it if you lived in NY. The weather here has been hot during the day - 85 degrees last Wednesday - What is up with that? I'm ready for fall and all my chunky sweaters and boots. My mani this week is my official call to the end of summer weather.

An End of Summer Kiwi
So this is the last week of summer...let's all collectively groan on cue now --- ugh --- lol
Looking back, my nail adventures have been few and far between, but I'm proud of the designs I've accomplished so far. I'm looking forward to the dark hues of fall (my favorite season!!) and hope to update more often. For today, I'm sharing my end of summer look. A very nice shade of light mint green with black polka dots - that reminded me of a kiwi for some reason.

Confetti My Heart
Hello! :)
I have not been a faithful blogger...but I have been a faithful nail lover!! lol I just haven't had time to take pictures as much as I would like. I will strive to be better!
Since my last post - I've bought three more bottles of polish (yes it's an addiction I'm not fighting) and a few nail art pens. I decided to go dotty this week to try out the pens and see what I came up with as a design.
I started off with a Essie's Turquoise & Caicos as a base. It's a sea green color that reminds me of the ocean. It goes on a bit shear so I ended up layering on about four coats to really get the color in the bottle.

Let's Do The Polka!
Happy Friday! :)
So about a week ago I was over at Rebecca Likes Nails (one of my favorite bloggers!) and noticed that she was doing a nail art contest. At first I wasn't really thinking of entering because my designs are pretty simple and I am new at this whole nail art world (hence the "Rookie" in my blog name). But after spending an hour surfing through nail blogs I figured...what the hell!
I was inspired and decided to go for one of the simplest of her requirements - dots.
I actually think it turned out rather well for my first time at polka dots. I went for a peach color and used a white Sally Hansen nail art pen instead of a dotting tool for the dots.
